Following last year's Best Newcomers Award, the Silverlawn community has once again been recognised for its continued dedication and remarkable transformation, this time winning the prestigious Extra Large Housing Estate Award at the 2025 Navan Municipal District Pride of Place Awards!
Once known for occasional challenges with antisocial behaviour, Silverlawn has blossomed into a vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive estate that residents are truly proud to call home.
Over the past year, residents have invested countless volunteer hours in transforming and maintaining their neighbourhood.
Their efforts have included:
- community clean-up days
- ongoing enhancements to flower bank
- planting new trees
- expanding thriving community vegetable gardens
- introducing community events and activities
- placing hanging baskets around Silverlawn estate
This collective commitment has not only dramatically improved the appearance of the estate but has also fostered a stronger sense of pride, belonging, and stewardship among residents of all ages.
